Why do I have two wifis?
Most router's today have two wifis - a 2.4 GHz wifi (e.g., NETGEAR99 or ASUS) and a 5 GHz wifi (e.g., NETGEAR99-5G or ASUS-5G). All older routers just have the 2.4 GHz wifi. You may use either wifi. One is not better than the other. The 2.4 GHz wifi's frequency is a bit better at passing through walls, but both are pretty much equal.
The 5 GHz wifi frequency was added to newer routers to help people living in apartment buildings or close neighborhoods. Because their neighbors were so close to them (across the hall, upstairs, downstairs, etc.), neighbors were stepping on each other's 2.4 GHz wifi channels (causing interference). Obviously this scenario doesn't apply to you as you are in the country! So pick one wifi and enjoy the Internet!
